The Formal Garden

Hello,

This is the time of year I always think about exploring gardens. I enjoy how plant partitions create garden rooms to be discovered. Each different and all beautiful.

A Quilt as Design

Modern Quilt Blank Card

Fabric shapes, sewn together
Does makes a quilt.
Shapes in a straight line
And some are at a tilt.

Perhaps the most fun of all
The hunt for cute fabric.
Yards are, for the stash
So fantastic!

Although quilts, are often used
To keep you cozy warm,
A quilt is, without a doubt
A stunning art form.

At the Beach

Pebbles in the sand there are
Round because they’ve come so far.
At this time it feels so free
To be standing at the sea.
The beach stretches far and wide
Ready for the coming tide.
Treasures in the sand you wish
And there it is, one starfish.

Comic Blast 4th of July

Remember as a kid getting your first firework sparklers and your mom yelling “Don’t run with the sparklers”! You’d watch it burn down to the end of the silver stuff and think (Oh man, it’s over already)?

What about Glow worms? When lit they oozed out … I don’t know what. You were left with these long, charred, cheese puff things. You saw the flames and smelled the smoke. Cool man!

July 5, on the ground lie little pieces of paper and red sticks from the — cover your ears — bottle rockets.

One year we did not have more fireworks so my dad lit a road flair in the back yard. We sat around and watched the awesomeness.

May watching bright colored lights give us strength.

Roses

Hi, For several years now I have been taking photos of the roses in my yard thinking some day I would put them to good use. The rose, being a historical flower, lends itself to a vintage look easily. For the designs I choose to use a fanciful type and border treatment with a rich, textured gold look.

Connie

Tulip Fields

Hello,

If you have ever been to a tulip field you know when the sunlight hits the rows of blossoms a feeling of joy can come over you. The bright warm colors mixed with pastels have an uplifting effect on the brain. The light bouncing off many colors all at once creates one of those moments in time to pause.

Halloween is coming! I wanted to see how my gnome design looked dressed as a witch. She greets you with her friend a pointy, creepy spider.
