I always thought going to the fair was such fun. I wanted to see the largest tomato, fanciful poultry, long-eared rabbits, gigantic pigs, quilts that took hours of planning and stitching, the best flower specimens, and table settings ready for the perfect tea party.
This year’s summer card design is a still life expressing my joy at the fair.
My new card design includes a graduation cap, certificate scroll, gold star, wood table top, and soft glowing lights in the background. Give with a graduation gift, or wish someone a bright future with their academic, undergraduate, master’s, or specialized certificate.
Out of the window, the sun is rising, its rays lighting up the snow, trees, and mountains. A warm mug of coffee or tea awaits inside a cozy space. It’s a new year with new opportunities. Send hope, serenity, support, and love to someone special with this mindful moment card. This illustration is a digital composite of my hand-painted papers.
Seven bold-colored precious gemstones grouped overlapping, the topmost in the shape of a heart. Three sparkle stars gleam from the red heart gem. The perfect card for the gemstone and jewelry collector or those who love a little bling in their life. Inside: Blank
I hope everyone is doing well under the circumstances.
For some time now I have wanted to create digital paintings with a watercolor look. So far I am fairly happy with the results.
Varied thrush visit our forested home December through April. Beautiful birds. I want to figure out a way to make them little glasses because they tend to run into things. My subject looks to be a female, not being an expert, I refer to my local birds guidebook.
While in Scotland we saw a stand of red deer. They formed in a nice clump all facing a different direction.
I do my artwork near a window with a view of my garden. Bright green leaves are starting to appear and a few flowers. With this new growth comes the bunnies. Little brown bunnies hopping around eating all my plants. I have a photo of a baby bunny eating planted celery and thought it might make a great Spring/Easter illustration.
